Ehh...the last year the 4Runner was built on the Toyota compact pickup truck platform was 1995. The 3rd, 4th & 5th gen 4Runner are built on the same platform as the Land Cruiser Prado/Lexus GX of equivalent years. Generally the Prado/GX is about 3" taller than the 4Runner but they're the same underneath.
